More InfoWhat Is the Helix Test Used For?
Sterilizing hollow, long-channeled medical devices (such as endoscopes and cannulated instruments) is more challenging than solid instruments — steam or gas must penetrate the full length of the channel. Helix test devices simulate this challenging penetration condition to verify the sterilizer can actually sterilize these types of loads.
Product Options
Available in 1.5-meter and 4.5-meter channel lengths, simulating hollow loads of different difficulty levels.
Where It's Used
Central sterile departments sterilizing hollow/channeled surgical instruments and endoscopic equipment use this test for regular performance verification.
