More InfoWhat Is a Biological Indicator?
Biological indicators are test systems used to verify that a sterilization process has effectively killed microorganisms. They contain bacterial spores highly resistant to the relevant sterilization method (Geobacillus stearothermophilus for steam and hydrogen peroxide, Bacillus atrophaeus for ethylene oxide and formaldehyde). Results are read after incubating the indicator following the sterilization cycle.
Choosing by Sterilization Method
Kordon Tıp's biological indicator line is organized around four sterilization methods: steam/autoclave, ethylene oxide (EO), hydrogen peroxide, and formaldehyde. Selecting the indicator matched to your sterilizer type is essential for accurate results.
Choosing by Read Time
The range includes standard (24-hour), rapid (1-4 hour), and super-rapid/instant (results within minutes) options — pick the read time that fits your central sterile department's workload and cycle frequency.
